Become a Member
The Franklin Grove Area Historical Society welcomes you to join us in our quest to establish, promote and maintain the study and preservation of our area history. Opportunities are endless and include participation in our various committees from building relocation and initial project development, building restoration, building maintenance, landscaping and grounds, marketing and fund raising.
Participate in interesting events including the first ever Battle of Chaplin Creek, Civil War Reeanactment and Living History Weekend and the annual Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival, which features many activities and displays depicting life in Illinois as it appeared in the mid 1800’s.

Make a Donation
As you can well imagine, moving these buildings to the historic site and restoring them to their original glory can be quite expensive. We welcome your financial contributions, whether it is to help us accomplish some unique project or a general donation that we will use to continue our restoration and preservation efforts as deemed appropriate by our Board of Directors.

Sponsor a Building Restoration
Looking for a way to leave your mark on the world and show others that you really care about our past? Consider sponsoring a portion of or complete building restoration and maintenance project.
With your sponsorship, you will be actively involved in planning and determining the development for restoration of one of our buildings and its return to life. All restorations are to be completed within the guidelines of the Franklin Grove Area Historical Society and the approval of the Board of Directors.
With your approval, your contribution and the results of your efforts will be prominently featured and displayed for others to enjoy for many years to come. And the best part is that you will have made a difference!

Volunteer Your Time
The Franklin Grove Area Historical Society welcomes you to volunteer your time to help us with some of our on-going projects or to simply help maintain the buildings and grounds. Whether you can swing a hammer or are good at gardening or assisting with fund-raising, we welcome your contributions! All of what you see was in some way touched by our many volunteers and friends.
