Reenactment Weekend Schedule

Friday June 20th

12:00pm - Chaplin Creek Village opens for reenactors to sign-in, setup campsites and get comfortable.

7:00pm - Third Friday Music at Scott Barn - Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, Country and more. Bring your acoustic instrument and join in or just enjoy the entertainment. Festivities start at 7:00pm and continue until the last note is played. Admission is free, however, donations to the Franklin Grove Area Historical Society will be accepted.

Saturday June 21st

8:00am - Chaplin Creek Village opens for visitors for onsite ticket purchase and to tour Chaplin Creek Village

9:00am - Reenactor's camp-sites open to the public

10:00am - Reenactors organize and practice drills for the afternoon battle - Open to the public to watch

11:00am - Ladies Tea and Fashion Show at the Sullivan Lindsey Saltbox House

12:00pm - Lunch break - Food Services provided by Culvers of Dixon - Reenactors camp-sites closed to public

1:45pm - Presentation of the Colors by The Franklin Grove American Legion

2:00pm - The Battle of Chaplin Creek

3:00pm - Reenactors conduct medical demonstrations to tend for the wounded.

4:30pm - Chaplin Creek Village closes for the day

7:00pm - Civil War Ball at the Activities Tent east of Scott Barn - Tickets priced separately - Music provided by Centurty Air Minstrels. To learn more about the Century Air Minstrels, please visit the Friends section of our website.

11:00pm - Battery G Artillery fireworks show

Sunday June 22nd

8:00am - Chaplin Creek Village opens for visitors for onsite ticket purchase and to tour Chaplin Creek Village

9:00am - Reenactor's camp-sites open to the public

10:00am - 1800's Church Service at the Activities Tent east of Scott Barn

11:00am - Ladies Tea and Fashion Show at the Sullivan Lindsey Saltbox House
